If you have played the PC or console versions, you’ll notice a few limitations compared but that does not mean this game is any less fun. I’d like to think that this is one of those games that offers nice quick play but each time I sit down for a quick game, I stay for at least an hour. There are 13 prisons to escape from, or as I like to put it, 13 prisons to cause mayhem in. The combat system is also pretty good and you can attack and loot other prisoners, but you can also get attacked yourself, so watch your back. You can create and customise your characters and each prisoner can offer you favours to execute in exchange for rewards, these include things like helping prisoners settle scores. I was blown away by the scale of this mobile game. From there, things start to get really fun. The first prison you play is a tutorial prison where you learn all the basics but there’s also an in-depth tutorial/help system to guide you along. There is even a multiplayer mode where you can play with friends or challenge them to the fastest prison escape.

Yes, you can try version 1 of this game too, its just as fun but The Escapists 2 is more polished and there are loads more things you can do. The open-world nature of The Escapists 2, and the fun graphic style makes this game a very nice port to mobile.

The game has loads of humour to keep you entertained and there is plenty to buy, barter, steal and craft. In fact, you can have loads of fun just playing along with the daily prison life and never escape, you’ll likely never get bored. The game is impressive in its attention to detail and each prison is loads of fun to play and explore. Based on the PC and Console games, The Escapists 2: Pocket Breakout is a fantastic mobile game in which your aim is to break out of prison, well, a few of them.
